Conel Cladding was founded in 2004 and focusing on the weld overlay cladding research and cladding robots for the anti-corrosion and anti-abrasion of boilers, water wall panels and tubes of super heaters.

Conel Cladding founded the subsidiary, Conel Optronics, in Tianjin in 2019 for the development and fabrication of the optronic system used in the cladding system.

In 2020, the second subsidiary, Conel IAM, was founded in Jiangsu for the research and development of additive manufacturing techniques and related machine tool and systems. 

The third subsidiary, Conel Robots, was founded in 2021 for the design and fabrication of special robots in the high temperature and high corrosion environments. 

Conel Cladding head office is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. Up to August of 2022, factories cover the total area around 125,000 square meters with workshop and office area of 51,000 square meters, and staffs around 1300 with 30% PhD and MSc degree researchers in engineering. Over 1100 CFB boilers, coal boiler, biomass boilers have been onsite weld overlayed for anti corrosion and anti abrasion for over 500 clients. Plus the in-factory weld overlay, the total area treated for anti-corrosion and anti-abrasion is over 220,000 square meters. 

Conel Cladding holds the GB class A boiler certificate, certificate of ASME “S” stamp,  and qualified by ISO9001 and ISO14001 management system.
